The TNF is great, So I have to add my discovery.....
I wonder what Flex thinks about this use?????
I have an Image of a AM Station in Chicago, A 50 KW Station (WLS) on .890.
It is constantly showing up in the 40 Meter Band at, 7.033760. It of
course creates a lot of problem and signal in the CW Band and I can switch
to AM and listen to their Broadcast tuned to 7.033760. I talked to Dudley
about it and he said it was mixing with the Flex 6.1 DDS Oscilator. I do
not know if the 6.1 DDS Oscilator is exactly on that freq or is 6.1xxxxx,
but the math comes close.
Dudley said the only solution (Back in October 15, 2010) was to get a High
Pass Filter.... Of course these solve a lot of AM Problems like this.
Stage Right enters the new TNF Filter.
I went to 7.033760 in AM Mode, Turned on the TNF, clicked on +TNF and set
the filter width and depth to where I wanted it and then also set it to
remember the filter setting.
POOF ! The AM Image is gone when I am running CW, and I can always see
the Filter position as I tune across that portion of the Band......
I do not understand how it works since the documentation states that the TNF
works at the RF Level at the start of the Direct Conversion.
I hope Flex can add some sort of explination to this but I am sure happy
with the results...

Subject: [FlexEdge] Is no one impressed by the new TNF?
There have been a few, but really, where are the raving reviews of this
fantastic new feature? Is it that we are spoiled by Flex to the point that
we expect this type of functionality and improvement to the software on a
regular basis? Perhaps the majority of Flexers are on vacation with no
access to the internet? C'mon guys, this new feature is hot!!
