Hi Neal,

I would certainly want a way to switch the extraneous info on and off. Actually 
 
having the traces blanked would solve the problem. It is hard to see a weak 
beacon in a field of louder spurs. The key here is see not hear. A blank 
display should indicate no beacons with the spurs notched out. The markers are 
ok in the panadapter display but the signal traces, at least in the waterfall 
they should not show if notched out.
