You must be blessed with a very quiet location Chris. The bands are pretty quiet right now.
Try this: With the radio running in receive mode, choose a band where you can see some activity on the panadapter portion of the panafall display. Then click on Setup; Display; and in the lower left hand portion of that window you will see Waterfall. Change the Low Level setting to something lower, and you should see some color begin to appear on the waterfall portion of the panafall. Change the level to produce the amount of color desired, and you should be good to go. Hope this helps. 73, Army AE5P -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Chris Blazie Sent: Sunday, September 04, 2011 7:27 PM To: FlexEdge Subject: [FlexEdge] waterfall display disappeared Hello All, Just back from a week away and find myself with some rare time to play with the F3K. I decided to upgrade to 2.2.2 to try out the great new features I've read about, and the installation went without a hitch. Started it up, enabled VAC and CAT, and hit Start (no database import). Radio works fine but the waterfall fails to display; I prefer the panafall mode, and the bottom is just blank. Choosing the waterfall-only option is also blank. I read release notes and went through setup, but don't see anything relevant. Then closed and ran my previous installation (2.0.22), and IT does not display waterfall either! The firmware was upgraded during the 2.2.2 installation process, maybe something went wrong there? Here's what I see in the control panel: Driver Version: 3.5.5.10185 (PAL same) I've never had a problem with this before so I'm kinda confused. Also a bit jet-lagged, so may be doing something stupid. Any suggestions appreciated.
