It be can be enlightning to just run a Windows PC without even "logging
in". I use a Win 7 machine as a media center and it can be busy just
sitting there just doing what is asked of it by "waking up LAN." When
done it just goes back to sleep. Many things are loaded as Windows
services without logging in. It even wakes up for auto updates.
