Where can I get more information about what sort of IMD is caused by PIN
diodes?

 

Also if operating full duplex with separate antennas, is the reed relay
still needed in order to switch over to transmit, or is that done in the
software?

Don't hold me to this as the absolute truth, but I believe we are using reed
relays. Pin diodes have too much IMD for Gerald's taste.
