Your suggestion is good, but...

If someone really wants to steal a rig, chained down or not, they will.
This has occurred at our clubhouse in the past numerous times, even with
rigs chained down. In the end, it took a camera system with recording to
stop theft at the clubhouse. Nothing like having big brother looking down.

Rack mount your 6000 and use cables just long enough to reach in the back.
That makes is pretty time consuming to steal. You can lock a Flex inside a
rack cabinet as well, as you don't have to have it where you can see it. I
have my 3000 sitting where I can't see it easily, as it isn't something I
need to look at anyway. And of course, put insurance riders on your shack's
equipment, which is the true security.

But I do have to ask; Where is your rig installed that you have to worry
about it being stolen?

Subject: [FlexEdge] Flex 6000 series, Chain and Bolt options

After going over the specs for the 6000 again, it seems to me that this
radio is really going to fly! For that reason, I suggest that Flex offer an
option to chain the radio to a desk or bolt it to the floor

I currently have my F5K chained down, but it is a homebrew fix.
