Now I know! Thanks Al. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Al K0VM Sent: Monday, July 02, 2012 11:53 AM To: Flex-Edge E-Mail Reflector Subject: Re: [FlexEdge] older slower laptop
On my Old Gateway laptop, the built in Wi-FI does have DPC spike each 60 seconds. If I disable the built in Wi-Fi driver and use an external Netgear USB WI-FI dongle, then the DPC spikes go away and Flex is happy. I think the difference is that the built in Wi-Fi performs some functions in the software driver (Atheos) that the USB dongle preforms in hardware.
