Are you using the balanced Mic input (rear) or front Mic connector ?
Have you tried another Mic ?

Subject: [FlexEdge] having trouble
Hi gang , I am having trouble with my new flex 5000 I am using a Heil
pr781 mic and have set up the audio according to w1aex suggestions via a
helped ham Oris. A couple problems 1st the tx meter shows no power out in
ssb or cw but a signal comes out over the air as monitored by my mobile .
The audio is lacking and sounds like I am tx in lsb and listening in usb .
The audio appears understandable through the monitor despite the above
sounding problem . Are there any other settings I should look at other than
suggested by Rob w1aex ? I am certainly missing something . Thanks for any
thoughts on this problem I have been working on for the last 2 weeks. John

Hi Dave I am using the front mic connecter with my pr 781 mic. I should
probabley try my headset using the front connecter as well I didn't
think of it because the mic is brand new
