I have always used VSPE from Eterlogic.
Great features -
1. regular virtual com port: both programs connect to the same com port
number. No need for "paired" com port numbers. Whoever thought up the
need for pairs needs an award.
2. splitter com port. Share one com port or one virtual com port with
many programs. Ever try to have two programs running that try to read
your radio's frequency? Instead of errors, everyone is happy with a
splitter com port.
3. Many other features which I have not tried.
It is free for 32 bit windows, and a fee for 64 bit windows.
If you don't pay for the 64 bit windows version, you get a nag screen
when you first start up VSPE.
