Steve and Greg: Just to make sure I checked with the engineering team today and verified the FLEX-6700 hardware is capable of delivering phase synchronous I and Q streams from the 2 SCUs. This will apply for RF and IF modes (Think 6m EME plus 28MHz and 2M IFs....). I was also warned to make sure everyone knows this capability won't be in the first release of SmartSDR. The team is focused where they need to be right now on producing solid radio functionality.
I too have a FLEX-6700 on order and can't wait to start hooking mine up to all my VHF and microwave toyz so this is very exciting for me as well! 73, Greg - K5GJ On Mon, Sep 3, 2012 at 7:20 PM, Greg Zenger [N2GZ] <[email protected]>wrote: > Steve, > > I believe I heard one of the flex guys (probably Greg) tell me that one of > the main reasons they included the 2m band on the 6700 was for the EME guys > for use with the MAP-65 software. > > -Greg, N2GZ/1 > > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] > [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Steve Silverman > Sent: Monday, September 03, 2012 4:07 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [FlexEdge] Flex 6700 for 2M Cross Polarization Rx > > Will the two SCU's in a Flex 6700 be suitable to for listening to the exact > same 2M frequency while connected to separate horizontal and vertical > polarity feed lines?
