Steve, USB audio is quite straight forward, depending on the audio performance you want. Windows USB audio is easy to attach to, if your audio device enumerates correctly. What audio performance is needed for most Digital modes? If it can be handled with normal communications audio (3k to 8k, C-weighted), it's even simpler.
