Ethernet is the least affected of the three interfaces. The Ethernet physical connection is isolated at DC so there is no possibility for a ground loop. The Ethernet physical interface is transformer coupled to provide further isolation. I believe that the Ethernet connection is designed to withstand up to 2000V being impressed between the cable and ground. And if one needs further isolation, Ethernet can operate using either shielded or unshielded cable. There is no question which is the best interface from the point of view of protecting the equipment. -- Brian Lloyd, WB6RQN/J79BPL 3191 Western Dr. Cameron Park, CA 95682 [email protected] +1.767.617.1365 (Dominica) +1.916.877.5067 (USA) _______________________________________________ Flexedge mailing list [email protected] http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexedge_flex-radio.biz This is the FlexRadio Systems e-mail Reflector called FlexEdge.
