Mel,

Several of us have scratched our heads over exactly that. Because of the
processing time, the PTT can drop before the entire packet is sent. Try
adding some delay to the TXTAIL (or equivalent) of 300 ms and see if that
works. Depending on the number of buffers, sampling, etc, you may need more
or less. For the same reason, you can cut TXDELAY way down.

Subject: [FlexEdge] 1200 baud Packet with V/U modules

Anyone using running FM 1200 baud packet using a hardware (SCS Tracker/DSP
TNC) TNC with the V/U modules? I can receive packets OK, but can not
reliably (many retries) make connects (even to second station in ham shack).
Tx Audio level set for 3khz deviation but I have tried less. I have tried
up to 350ms of TXDELAY also. Maybe I need even more? I would be interested
in your set up/configuration of PowerSDR. Tried different RF power levels
down to just a few watts, but made no difference. Tx "Packets" sound good
(i.e don't "hear" any distortion).

Thanks
Mel
