Mel, Several of us have scratched our heads over exactly that. Because of the processing time, the PTT can drop before the entire packet is sent. Try adding some delay to the TXTAIL (or equivalent) of 300 ms and see if that works. Depending on the number of buffers, sampling, etc, you may need more or less. For the same reason, you can cut TXDELAY way down.
