Dear FlexEdge members,
The FlexEdge reflector or discussion group was created in July 2009 to
accommodate customers that wanted to discuss the more technical aspects
of PowerSDR and our software defined radios, leaving the operational
questions to be discussed on the FlexRadio User’s reflector. When
PowerSDR was being developed in “real time” and users had access to the
code using the public SVN server, this reflector achieved its goals and
objectives. With the release of PowerSDR v2.0, we decided to restrict
access to SVN and distribute only production or “packaged” releases of
our software products. At that time we noticed a decline in the use of
the FlexEdge reflector, but we decided to keep it operational because it
was still viable as a place for experimenters to discuss the more
technical aspects of our SDRs.
Over the past several months, there has been a noticeable drop off on
FlexEdge posts. We have attributed it to several factors, one of which
is the new FlexRadio User Community
(https://community.flexradio.com/flexradio) which allows users to reap
the benefits of both a reflector and a forum in one convenient software
package.
In order to minimize the number of diverse places where customers expect
to receive assistance from FlexRadio employees and users of FlexRadio
Systems’ products, we have made the difficult decision to shut down the
FlexEdge reflector. Therefore starting today, we will no longer be
accepting posts to this reflector from users. We recommend that you
utilize the FlexRadio User Community for topics that you would normally
submit to this list for discussion.
We regret that taking this action, but having fewer places where users
can interact with FlexRadio users and employees will result is a better
user experience.
We will be keeping the FlexRadio User's Reflector on line for the
foreseeable future. This action only affects the FlexEdge reflector
Also, it you are in need of direct assistance from FlexRadio Systems, it
is highly recommended that you use submit a HelpDesk support ticket
(http://helpdesk.flexradio.com/hc/en-us/requests/new) for your issue.
This process assigns you a case number so that one of our engineers can
work your issue one-on-one.
Thank you for your understanding and we hope to see everyone on the
FlexRadio Community.
