This ended up being a really good find. The algorithm used to put the
hardware into a known state was buggy. This is fixed in v1.3.4. Thanks
Dale.

The following behavior only occurs when powering up version 1.3.3
(with the preamp set to 'Off' or 'Low') after having previously
powered up an earlier version.
When powering up ver. 1.3.3 of the console after previously running
version 1.3.2, I noticed that if the preamp setting on the main panel
(on version 1.3.3) is set to either 'Off' or 'Low' when it is powered
up, the display is about 28 dBm more sensitive than it should be.
(measured using Elecraft XG1 sig gen) If the preamp setting is then
temporarily changed to either 'Med' or 'High', the gain is correct,
and will remain correct even when going back to a preamp setting of
'Off' or 'Low'.
Here's the scenario:
- Gain calibration for both versions should have been completed.
- Start up version 1.3.2
- Shut down version 1.3.2
- Start up version 1.3.3 with the preamp set to either 'Off' or 'Low'
- Note that the gain as indicated on the panadapter or spectrum
display is about 28 dBm too high.
- Change the preamp setting to 'Med' or 'High'
- Note that the gain drops back to what it should be.
- Change the preamp setting back to 'Off' or 'Low' and the gain is
still correct.
Seems like it may have something to do with the setting of the LNA
gains at startup.
