Folks

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I just installed the audiophile 192 yesterday, which includes about a 1 pound octopus and now the hosa cables for about another pound. When I add the mobo 2 nd card the cabling nightmare is bigger than the radio. On the 144 the situation is probably worse even though it has an external panel. In my case, out of this whole jumble of wires, all I really need is one stereo cable! If I decide to be a musician, I still have the umbilical supplied with the board.

On the forum someone had mentioned the pin out of the DB 25 on the 144, and possibly perfing up a connector with isolation, smaller and combined cables etc. I think Tony – KB9YIG could probably whip out 18 to 30 high quality interface boards for this DB-25 connector, just as he did for the parallel port conditioner. The cost of which would probably be less than 2 of these Hosa cables, and we could throw in isolation, filtering etc.

Would anyone be interested in a custom cable connector, and if so what should go on the circuit board(s)? What is the pinout on the 192? Etc. Anyone up for a Teamspeak brainstorming session on this?

Eric
