This is terrific and I hope we can start a serious effort towards MSVAD
sometime soon. This will
be a virtual sound port driver that will allows to be completely and
totally digital in our exchange
with programs suchs as MixW where we never have to leave the computer to
hook up MixW,
Winwarbler, dxlabs in general, psk31 programs, etc. since both com port
(thanks to Phil) and
sound card interactions will be done inside. The trick with doing the
virtual sound card thing
right for us is the ability to do resampling to/from our standard
rate(s) to the sound card program
set rate. In the Microsoft WinDDK is the beginnings of such a device
called MSVAD. This
probably stands for Microsoft Virtual Audio Device.
Thank you Phil for this com port work.

John,
It will allow you to use the SDR-1000 with other programs such as
MixW, DXLab Commander, HRD, etc... on the same computer without using
a real null modem cable and two hardware com ports.
