A follow on discussion ensued regarding standards for the CAT command set for
the SDR-1000. Obviously the SDR has the potential for many addition commands to
evolve 3 rd party CAT programs. This is a rather important standard being set.
It sets the PowerSDR interface apart from any hardware defined radio. If you

To me, the ZZ extended command set is the milestone
where the SDR-1000 coupled with PowerSDR software, ceases to be a follower and
becomes an industry leader. It clearly illustrates the fact that this
combination outdistances hardware defined radios. This is just the beginning.
This radio now has more features than its hardware controlled competition and
the potential for FAR more. The tail is about to wag the dog.
