There is no easy answer to this question as it depends on the duty cycle of the signal being sent.  Here is the data:

 

  1. The FlexRadio 100w PA is rated at 25W continuous carrier (100% duty cycle).
  2. FlexRadio has run the PA on CW at 25WPM @ 100w repeating (using the text memories) without a problem.

 

RTTY and PSK-31 are different animals.  To be safe, don’t go over 25 watts.  If the duty cycle is a good deal less than 100%, you can probably push that to 30 or even 35 watts safely.  Better safe than sorry in my humble opinion.
