Mel:
I have also had a couple of cases where I had to delete the db and start
over (losing all of my settings as a result) with 1.4.5. There are a
few issues with db pre 1.4.5 that I believe Eric attempted to resolve
including one for impatient people (MOI ?) who copy rather than import
so they never see the wizard. Something may have gone a bit astray. I
was not careful about documenting the issue I saw and since it has been
more than 48 hours, my memory of it is too vague to rec all!
If you resolve settings issues by deleting db, please point them out
to Eric with as much specificity as possible to aid in resolving this.
In some cases it is likely that Eric and I have different assumed
default initializations (as this has happened before) and Eric believes
the setting is one thing and never informs the DSP whereas the DSP has
assumed a different initialization and since it is not changed, it
happily precedes along its merry way with a different initialization.
It has been some time since we went through a "clean all that up"
exercise and 1.4.5 involves some major internal reorganizations. I will
be traveling to Austin to spend a week on October 16. This will be on
the agenda.

This problem was fixed by removing and re-installing 1.4.5 - I assume
some file or maybe DB was corrupted. I have it working ok now.

*Subject:* [Flexradio] 1.4.5 Old keyer "keys" with MOX
I may have found a bug in 1.4.5 -
Problem: "Keys" the SDR in "any mode" when MOX is activated -after-
the "old keyer" window has been opened and closed. As long as the old
keyer window is "open", MOX will not "key" the SDR, but when closed,
MOX will key the SDR in any mode (LSB, USB, FM etc), If the old key
window is re-opend, the problem goes away. The 'New keyer" does NOT
cause this problem and if it is activated (checked) old keyer closes
and problem goes away. Note: this old keyer problem is not cleared
after PowerSDR console is re-booted. :-)
