would like to suggest the case not the laptop will allow transportation and allow the laptop to survive.  also a place to keep mouse, and junk.  get a good metal case big enough for a 17inch laptop and use the padding on both ends.  use Toshiba myself but there is a tuffbook laptop now out there that can survive a bullet as picture shows from Iraq. kinda spendy though.  1gb ram always good but maybe a faster processor or one of the newer dual thread types will keep it running with the new software. tom [EMAIL PROTECTED]
