I finally hooked up a microphone and made my first ssb qso with my 100w sdr1000. The tuner worked fine trimming the small mismatch on my r6000 vertical on 7153kHz. As I was talking and watching the power meter it was some times hitting 120 watts and I think some parts may have been getting hot.
What is the accepted procedure for limiting the power output? The power control was set to 50 w. and did not seem to have much effect. The mic. gain seems to be the best way???? Richard W5SXD
