Have you tried connecting the microphone directly to the soundcard?
(assuming that you are currently running it through the radio) Also,
when did you purchase your radio? There was an ECO we added about a
year ago where we changed the microphone front panel plug to avoid
connecting the microphone shield to the enclosure ground. This was
causing a ground loop as the true ground for the microphone should be at
the connector on the soundcard. If plugging the microphone into the
soundcard directly works, then you might check to see if this ECO has
been performed.
