N8VB's vCOM or another virtual COM program is required to run commander with Powersdr. In addition the SDR-1000 choice in commander was to support a much earlier visual basic version of powersdr. It does not run play very well with the present PowerSDR so I would not choose it.
To use commander with PowerSDR set up Commander to speak "Kenwood" and set up PowerSDR to emulate TS-2000.
