I dropped them an e-mail on these issues and got this response from their customer support manager:
"There will be a FireBox firmware/driver update later this year to address all of these concerns but that will be a ways off. Stay tuned, and we appreciate your patience." Not a lot of substance, but it sounds like the fix is at least on their radar.
