I have not wired up my pw1 yet but it did work when the band decoder was
connected to my Orion so that's not an issue.

Wire comm. port 1 goes to the computer input of the band decoder, as normal.
Wire a 3 wire null modem cable (with two female plugs) and connect that
between the rs232 output of the band decoder to comm. port. 2.

In PowerSDR, tell the software you are using the TS2000 protocol on comm.
Port 2. Of course, configure the band decoder to specify the Kenwood TS2000
protocol. You should now see the band decoder follow band selections from
the PowerSDR.

For Mixw, or any other software you want to receive cat info, configure that
to use comm. Port 1.

I think I wrote this correctly, try it and see!

Subject: [Flexradio] SDR-1000 with PW-1

I am wondering if any Flexer has set up the MicroHam band selection unit
with the SDR-1000 to control the Icom PW-1 amplifier for automatic QSY?

Any words of wisdom will be appreciated.

Thanks
Dave
