I'm almost sorry for posting the info on the Compaq refurbished computer earlier today as it sparked much speculation and rather sour comments that I did not intend.
Just to settle the matter, I simply emailed Surplus computers and asked them about the legitimacy of the XP OS on the computers they are selling. Certainly anyone seriously interested could have done this. I have no financial or otherwise interest in this company. I was just trying to pass on some info that I *thought* might be of interest to some on this list.
