I was up on 20 PSK (14.070) and suddenly started hearing a raspy CW note
that obviously was not the primary signal. The signal went on long enough
for me to move down the band and identify it. W1AW running CW on 14.047.
Their signal was well over S9 here.
I had not experienced this, what I shall call "phase noise" before with
the
SDR-1000, I found that by turning off the noise blankers, the raspy signal
signal on 14.070 went away. Turn the blankers back on and there it was again
quite strong enough to move the baseline on the display about 5dB on key
closure.
I have a two minute .wav file if anyone wishes it. I checked it out on
vers
1.6.2 and SVN 654. No difference between the two.
