All,

Just loaded SVN 671, and I am seeing a transient when initially keying the
radio that produces a momentary RF output that spikes to roughly 43 Watts.
My "PWR" is set for 40W, and I am using a foot switch to key the radio. I
also see the spike when using the MOX button, and with the "Mic Gain" set at
0. I am using a Firebox for the audio interface. I also hear a loud
resounding pop when transitioning from transmit back to receive. When the
Firebox is disconnected from the radio, the symptoms go away. Is this what
was being referred to in the "beware message" for Firebox users? The spike
is not prevalent in V1.6.1 or V1.6.2, but the loud pop when transitioning
from transmit to receive is.

Thank you,

Mike

Hi Bob,

I have seen your note on svn 671 version, beware of what? (I am using
the Firebox, with good results, especially in CW....)
