I think if you can get the parallel port working properly, your problems will go away. If your new port is LPT3, the address needs to be 3BC, not 378. Change that in PowerSDR before turning on the rig. You might even change it, exit PowerSDR, then start it back up. Also some parallel ports don't supply enough voltage to engage the relays. I forget what is required, but seems 3 volts is right. If those relays don't get switched properly, it will do some wacky things.
