I've talked to a few prospective SDR buyers who keep reading the Reflector. They ask me, "With so many serious problems, is the radio ever going to get operational?". They wonder if they buy one if they will ever be able to get it to work? I try to tell them that if they follow the Quick Start and leave the factory settings alone, it'll work just fine and they will have the best radio they've ever owned. Get used to it for awhile before customizing and if they get lost they can always reload. The Reflector is a 2 edged sword. It's great for us but most of the esoteric questions and answers do give the uninitiated reason to pause.

They make me look for pretentious advertising. Software is soft, it has no power of its own it just controls machines. Maybe adding words like User Version or Developer Version can make since but not Power User Version. In my humble opinion I can suggest that when they get to version 2.0.1 renaming it SDR-Control V 2.0.1 may be less offensive. The radio system is so completely Superior to all radios in its price range and still far better than most in any price range that nothing about its descriptions should use otherwise pretentious descriptors. They detract from the most serious development in RF communications since SSB. Just my humble opinion. Jerry -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
