Hi,

One second before I declare the radio on the other end to be AWOL. Let me 
know the programming language (I use C++) and I'll provide some pseudo code.

Essentially you read x bytes with a 1 second timeout, if you get your x 
bytes (or a ;) inside 1 second then your loop ends. For more info mail me

Your LP-1000 doesn't have much to do, it's got a pretty hefty CPU inside as 
well.

And get Portmon going, it will save a *lot* of hassle, it's a great program 
for this type of thing. You can watch HRD chatting to the SDR.
