Hello Joe,

try PDFCreator, download at <http://www.pdfforge.org/>. It's free. I have
tried a number of PDF filters, this one seems to be the best.

Regarding OpenOffice.org: The latest releases have really impressive import
filters. You should consider to port. It can write *.doc, too.

Thema "[Flexradio] Manual PDF conversion help":
| Hi,
|
| I am hoping to use the collective and impressive brain power on this
| reflector to help with production of the manual. I am looking for a
| cost-effective way to convert the doc file that the manual is written in
| and that I am working on to a pdf file with bookmarks. Currently the free
| program cutepdf is being used and it throws out all links within the table
| of contents and does not produce bookmarks (there's a reason it's free).
| Adobe at a price of some $600 is not an option.
|
| I know Open Office will do it brilliantly, but because of various
| complexities with the doc file, it will not import this file correctly,
| which is too bad.
|
| Please let me know if you know of a way to do the conversion cost
| effectively such that bookmarks are preserved.
|
| Thanks
