Mark, If hibernation is not on, like Ken referred to, then what you are seeing is a bug that I have had for many a PowerSDR version. There is a thread that gets terminated, but so far no one can come up with a reproducible way to make the S meter break. Eric has looked into it several times and is stumped.

It is a great radio. I find that many of the issues that I have had I have been able to resolve by reading the manual or consulting the reflector archives. There is one very persistent issue that continues to be a problem. The "S' meter locks up or freezes. The only way to solve the problem is to close Power SDR and re-open it. After that it may be fine for many hours or freeze up again in 5 minutes. Here are the facts as I know them: 1. I have used 2 versions of software. Beta V.1.6.3 and now V1.9.0 (803) and the meters freezes up in both versions. 2. It is not related to RF. It will lock up when I never have transmitted. 3. I have never been able to pin down an exact condition that makes it lock up. Band, mode changes, etc. All of a sudden I return to the shack or just look at the meter and it is frozen or locked. I can exercise every function but can't get it to lock up when I try? 4. My system is a Core 2 Duo 2.4 ghz (E6600 processor) Can anyone help me solve this problem? Have others that have reported this issue on the reflector resolved it? (if so how?) Any suggestions out there. I thank you in advance for your help.
