Hi Bill, yes there are two directions you can go using the SRD on 6 meters. I 
elected to go the route of no transverter.

If you take this route, you need 1) a 6 meter preamp, (I use a DownEast 6 meter 
preamp, $65.00) and 2) an amp to get you from .5 watts to whatever you need to 
drive your amp. Take a look at TE Systems. They have several that may meet your 
need.

I work meteor scatter and tropo regularly out 500 to 1200 miles daily. (No 
sporadic E opening)

I love the SDR on 6 meters!
