feed your signal into a 3dB power divider. using a piece of coax ( or similar) run one side of the power divider output directly into a correlator, run the other side of the power divider to the correlator through a slightly longer piece of coax.
take the I and Q signals from the correlator and note the angle at the lowest input frequency and the highest input frequency. insert the unknown frequency into the power divider input and you can see on the I and Q signals where the frequency lies relative to the Fmin and Fmax. of course, the unknown must always be between Fmin and Fmax to avoid ambiguity. phil AB2JL. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Army Curtis - AE5P" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, January 17, 2007 5:07 PM Subject: [Flexradio] OT: measuring power and frequency above 1GHz? > Considering the considerable talent on this list, I'm looking for thoughts > on how to best measure frequency and power above 1GHz.
