Hank, I have used both HamPal and WinDRM with the SDR using VAC without any problems. Also checkout the KB article < http://kb.flex-radio.com/article.aspx?id=10071 >. Although this article focuses more on digital voice, it does explain various settings. WindDRM will receive and transmit text, images and voice.
