For the sake of the reflector, SVN stands for Subversion and is a versioning
system for files.  For the non-techies out there, this means that you can
keep up to date with the latest and greatest alpha versions of PowerSDR by
just right clicking on a folder and clicking SVN Update (once everything is
setup).  There is an extensive guide on getting setup at the links mentioned
by Ken.  Try it out.  But remember: Alpha software many times contains bugs.
If this is not for you, it may be best to stick with the latest official
release (currently v1.8.0).
