There's actually quite a lot of open source software available for Windows. It's not that unusual.. you run with what you've got, and if what you've got is a Windows box, that's what you develop for. It *is* true that there are open source zealots who believe that closed anything is anathema, but heck, there are zealots everywhere, and they constitue an interesting, but minor, proportion of the overall user population. We rely on zealots to poke at the boundaries.. as they say, "the paths of progress are paved with the bodies of dead pioneers" (which I first heard at NCR..back when they had dreams of computer dominance...)
