Hello, I would like to practice my cw sending at higher speeds using the SDR-1000's internal keyer and also try out the built-in cw keyboard feature without actually going on the air (my typing skills are rudimentary at best). As far as I can tell so far, the only way to do either of these is to connect the radio to a dummy load and set the drive to zero (hopefully zero actually means zero power out). Is this correct or am I missing something obvious? On my other rig (a Kenwood TS-570D) the procedure involves pressing a single button so that closing the key no longer activates semi or full break-in keying. The rig continues to receive, however. This functionality also makes it easy to zero beat by ear.
Thanks very much for any advice, Sam W2SNX _______________________________________________ FlexRadio mailing list FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archive Link: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ FlexRadio Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/ FlexRadio Knowledge Base: http://kb.flex-radio.com/
