Please do write it up. I would be a great addition to the KB. Just forward me a copy off list.

I also have a Quadra and would be interested in seeing how you guys did this exactly. Do you plan to write up anything? Steve - K5FR -----Original Message----- This post may well be lost in the passion of the SDR-5000 but I'll throw it out here anyway! Dave W9AD and I, with the help of Jerry Flanders W4UK and John W8TPH have successfully married the Flex SDR-1000 and the Yaesu Quadra amplifier. The Quadra will follow the SDR when changing bands like a hound on a scent! It's only necessary to feed the Quadra data lines with the X2 lines and check the proper boxes on the setup screen. The lines need to be pulled up to 5 volts (on the X2 connector) with 4.7K resistors. Dave is now busy flipping through the bands just to see the Quadra blink! We'll get him back on the air soon. --Larry W8ER _______________________________________________ FlexRadio mailing list FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archive Link: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ FlexRadio Knowledge Base: http://kb.flex-radio.com/ FlexRadio Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/ _______________________________________________ FlexRadio mailing list FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archive Link: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ FlexRadio Knowledge Base: http://kb.flex-radio.com/ FlexRadio Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/
