Skip, I am running a dual core AMD processor with PowerSDR with all of the current drivers and XP patches and there is no problems here.
If properly grounded and the control/audio cables protected, there are not any RFI issues to speak of. I don't think anyone really knows about how the FLEX-5000 will work in a multi radio contest situation since it hasn't been put into one yet. I am sure as soon as they are released, it will be used that way and comments expressed on the Reflector. If you don't want to spend the $$ on a Flex-5000, pick up a SDR-1000. It is and will be a great radio for some time to come. FlexRadio does have some left for sale. -Tim, W4TME -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Skip K3CC Sent: Sunday, April 08, 2007 11:45 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Flexradio] Potenial buyer To flexradio Team, I was a potential buyer on a fixed income. However, I have mixed feelings about spending almost $5000 or more for a radio and computer system. I currently have a n Orion I and Yaesu FT2000 and FT 1000mp mk/V with mods. Question how does the Flexradio 5000 hamdle contest multi transmitter stations ? I had asked about the cpu system in Dual core processors and was told that there was no problem, The reason I had asked was because of the AMD problems of timing. They are ok for gaming but I questioned them for this application. Another problem is grounding and RF from close by transmitters . Have you found this to be a problem ??? tnx agn de Skip K3CC Flexradio wantabe _______________________________________________ FlexRadio mailing list [email protected] http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archive Link: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ FlexRadio Knowledge Base: http://kb.flex-radio.com/ FlexRadio Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/ _______________________________________________ FlexRadio mailing list [email protected] http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archive Link: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ FlexRadio Knowledge Base: http://kb.flex-radio.com/ FlexRadio Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/
