I was mistaken. FRS is planning to include a 6-pin to 6-pin 2 meter Firewire cable with the FLEX-5000A. A 6 to 4-pin adapter for laptops I believe is included as well.

There are two types of Firewire connectors (4 and 6-pin) that can come on the computer end so unless both types were provided, for some the cable would be useless.
