By Eric and I removing all of the impediments that were put in during
the early days of CW to keep things in order. Now that we are full
duplex, even on the SDR-1000, in the software, these impediments are no
longer needed. The hardware switches faster than we thought it could.
I set the semibreaking delay at 50ms and 40 wpm and after adjusting that
Kent paddle (BLECH, not for me, maybe for others) I ripped off the page
from the hand out blurb just to show people it could be done.

With the SDR-1000, my suggested minimum semi delay is 100ms. With the
Flex-5000 (when we have not made a mistake in getting new commands in
the right order), the cw transmitter sounds like a sidetone inserted
into the receiver which recovers instantly. In fact, we got it to
switch so fast that we were hearing the TX carrier leakage (very VERY
low level) in the receiver after key up. The Flex 5000 switches very
fast indeed. Full duplex in the software is the key to all of this new
speed.

The only thing keeping us from easily supporting TOR right now is the
limitations of the VAC support. I will help Eric work on that later.
