Page 93 of the 1.8.0 manual explains keying options
------------------------------------
Connections
The internal keyer supports two inputs. We call these inputs the primary
and secondary connections. The primary connection will override the
secondary input. This was designed with the idea that the secondary
connection might be used for automatic CW generation while the primary
could be used with manual paddles to override the automatic output.

Primary: Select the connection to be used for the primary connection.
Selecting “SDR” allows use of the jack on the back of the SDR-1000.

Secondary: Select the connection to be used for the secondary
connection. Selecting CAT will allow use of the COM port that is
currently being used by the CAT connection. This is useful as some
programs allow both CAT commands and COM port line keying for CW. Note
that the lower two controls will not show up if None is selected.
