A reformat and a reload is a bit radical.

Try building a new database first. If that doesn't resolve your
problems, the a little less radical approach can be taken.

Uninstall all instances PowerSDR using the Add or Remove Program feature
in the Control Panel. Delete the PowerSDR directories. Install 1.8.0
and do the initial soundcard configuration. Then load Beta 1.9.1 and
let it build a *new* database (do not import). The TX and RX threading
has been greatly changed in the new 1.9.1 version so a complete
reconfiguration of your hardware buffers (sound card buffer size or
latency depending on the card) and the PowerSDR audio buffers is in
order.

Also make sure you have the latest version of your video driver, all of
the .NET updates and the latest DirectX installed before starting the
PowerSDR reload.

If you have a lot of custom TX profiles, memories or a modified band
plan, copy your current database to a safe location before starting and
after you get things working, then use Ray's PowerSDR Data Import
Utility to integrate just those tables into the new database.

Subject: [Flexradio] Problems with system software.

Hi,

When I run PowerSDR with the SDR-1000, it first sounds like a chu chu
train for about two min, then calms down. CPU 25 to 40%, XP. When I
change bands, I get an "unhandled exception message" which usually takes
a reboot to fix, then it will change bands for awhile then repeat the
problem.

Suggestions (other than reformat and reload)?
