I also built an AMD X2 4800 with 2GB of RAM but I used an MSI (micro-star international) MoBo.
I have 2 SATA II HD's in a RAID 0 configuration for speed NO problems running the SDR-1000. It is flawless. I have seen up to 16 percent usage of the CPU and that is about it. No dropouts or problems from having an AMD CPU. Maybe it was your motherboard? 73, Marty KG6QKJ At 04:02 PM 7/14/2007, lee crocker wrote: >I built a AMD X2 4800 machine with 2gb ram on an aopen mb and win XP >and found it totally unusable with powerSDR and a total waste of money. > >I built a core 2 duo E6400 Intel machine with 2 G ram and winXP >using a shuttle system to replace it and have no trouble. > >I have a beta F5K and it runs like clockwork on the intel machine > >Caveat emptor _______________________________________________ FlexRadio mailing list FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archive Link: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ FlexRadio Knowledge Base: http://kb.flex-radio.com/ FlexRadio Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/
