Am I reading this right? It looks like the Flex-5000 does not need to use a
sequencer to have a 6 metre preamp in line. So I could have my 6 metre antenna
connected to one antenna port (lets say ANT 1) and my HF antenna to ANT 2. Then
I could have a non rf-switched preamp (lets say a DEMI 6MLNA) looped through
RX-1 & RX-2 for receiving 6 metres on ANT 1. And no external switching is
required for transmitting to keep the RF amp from destroying the pre-amp?

RX Antenna Loop Configuration (RX1 IN & RX1 OUT)
One of the interesting features of the FLEX-5000 is the Receive only loop. You
can configure PowerSDR to take the RX signal from ANT1 (SO-239) and route it to
the RX1 OUT BNC connector and back in to the transceiver using RX1 IN. This
will allow you to easily place receive only devices in-line to the RX signal
chain. Examples of such devices would be a 6m pre-amplifier for weak signal
work, a preselector for attenuating strong out-of-band signal sources, or a
“wavetrap” for specific frequency interference nulling.
