Hi all I use RCKLog for rtty contesting (which is the mode I normally contest in) and since I had been using it, I would get these annoying "Lost contact with TRX" messages, the band data would go to 0Hz and a few seconds later it would regain visibility of PowerSDR. I had not done any serious contesting with Writelog in a while but do not remember it doing so. I stopped using I cannot stand the rotating text data display so its been a while. Anyway, I figured it was a RCKLog issue.
I installed the demo version of the Eltima Virtual Serial Port and have not had a single instance of it losing synchronization. It was a frequent issue with RCKLog so I would see 4-5 an hour occurance so I am sure this is a better combo. I wonder if any of the other contest programs are so sensitive? I use Win-Test for non-rtty tests when it has contest coverage so will try that after the SARTG.
