Just in case there is general interest, I am copying my reply to the list: You need two stereo audio cables with 1/8 plugs each end: The headphone out from your digital mode computer connects to the mic input on your SDR computer (or whatever mic connection you are now using). The headphone output from your SDR computer goes to the line in on your digital computer. Those two connections should let you transfer audio back/forth so that, for instance, your digital computer can decode digital stuff coming in on the SDR. Similarly, AFSK(or whatever) generated on your digital computer can be transmitted on the SDR since it is connected to the mic input. I use a conventional serial cable with a gender changer along with the little block null modem adapter from radio shack, but there are also null modem cables you can fine (they are getting rare, though). This connects hardware serial ports between the computer boxes. Then setup PowerSDR to use CAT and direct it to this hardware port and setup your digital program to control a rig on the digital computer's hardware port. Set them both to kenwood radio and set the same baud rate. Set your digital program to assert PTT via the CAT system. It should all work then. You have to set the digital software to output AFSK if using RTTY - FSK is not possible. I also use a little "Y" adapter to let me also plug a speaker into the PowerSDR's audio output along with the cable mentioned above so I can hear received sigs. I also have one on the other cable so I can hear my TX sigs at a very low volume. I use WriteLog here - very versatile. Good luck.
